On a lighter note to round off

It's nearly time for TV Shows to go on their break so I thought I would just tell you what I've been enjoying this fall.

Top of the list is definitely Reign. Its about Mary Queen of Scots and her time in France as she is engaged to the future King. Obviously there's conspiracy's and plots a foot but I'm loving it.

How I Met Your Mother is definitely doing it for me, but not sure if they're going to continue with the setting after Christmas, I wouldn't mind to be honest as it is a very clever idea

The Mentalist this season went HAM and even gave me chills, but from where they've stopped last episode I really have no clue what will be in store next and just hope that it's not the obvious, which I won't say to avoid spoilers.

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary was so worth the wait filled with inside jokes and paradox's and what nots.

Scandal <3 p="">
All the other regulars I'm just watching out of habit but there's nothing really driving them. Greys, The Vampire Diaries, Revenge.

I have been reading at an alarming speed and I'm loving it, finished The Perks Of Being A Wallflower this morning and I have a bucket load to get from the library when I get back to London. Ready a decent time travel book called All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill and looking forward to reading The Selection by Kiera Cass. There's also a bunch of Classic books I need to read.

So yeah, reading and watching stuff, my two favourite things, though I actually haven't been to the cinema in such a long time, but hopefully after this week is done I'll have a little more time.
Any ways back to work I go so until next time mis amigos

A whinge and a moan

Okay so my blog wouldn't be complete if I didn't complain about something so here it goes, and I'll try and keep it brief.
I happen to be very good at compartmentalization and I always have been. I know what I'm supposed to be doing and when. Now I don't know if this is because my memory sucks so I need to write everything down least I just completely forget but whatever. That being said, I am on top of all my work this semester. I dissertation is due in January and I've finished at and I'm on like my third time going through it based on my tutors feedback, and I'm planning on handing it in before we go away for Christmas. Even though I had a major delay with my project getting started I didn't freak out once and everything's come together since then, my last class no one has even started doing the work for and I'm pretty much up to date with thaht too. This sounds like one big gloat but it's not, I'm just stating the facts and I think it's complete bullshit that just because I'm on top of everything and I never stress or freak out or worry that it suddenly means I can't talk about it.
If someone asks me how my work is going and I tell them I've done it that gives them no right whatsoever to start complaining and saying "You're not a real student" Firstly what the hell does that even mean? And second of all it's plainly just jealousy, they can happily find solace in the other 85% of people in the same boat as them on my course. I'm probably making this out to be a bigger deal than it is but it's really really annoying and the amount of times I've said; Just because you're panicking or behind doesn't mean I have to be. Is getting tiresome.

Okay this post is annoying me so I'm going to make another one.

Like the old lady that I am I could never really get into the whole "YouTube" thing. I basically just use it to watch music videos or list to music. Like I know how it works but I could never sit for hours like some people can and watch video after video.
Anyways I have now slowly gotten into it a little bit. I mean I still can't sit for hours but I did find some pretty good video and channels to subscribe to.

One thing that I was absolutely in love with was The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. As we know I love all things Pride and Prejudice and randomly stumbled upon this webseries. I'm not going to go too much into it but it's basically a video blog series run by Lizzie Bennet and is about her life and her sisters. It's a 21st Century Pride and Prejudice and even though I know the story inside and out it was cool seeing how they overcame certain translatable issues. So yeah check that shit out

Also this baking channel: Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio which I found when I was researching on how to make the perfect butter cream icing [I'm planning to do a lot of baking this holiday] and the steps are really easy and make the whole thing seem simple and I'm itching to get back in the kitchen and whip up cupcakes and cookies and a rainbow cake. Plus her name is Jen so she's bound to be amazing.

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary

So November 23rd has come and gone and me and my friend were lucky enough to get tickets to see the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary in Cinema.
Now I honestly thought that it would be the two of us and an old man in a Fez at the screening. How wrong was I. Literally it was packed, and we got there pretty damn early too.
People were dressed up and everything it was brilliant, and me and my friend were disappointed that we didn't think to dress up (My Fez and Bow-tie are in London) and she forgot her Dalek t-shirt. But still it was amazing.
So like I said it was packed and I'm really specific of where I sit in the cinema and I luckily got my prefect seat which my friend found hilarious. There was a little into with 10/11 and the whovians went cray, it was great all laughing and understanding the same jokes, even throughout the movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, there were a few classical Moffat plot holes that my friend pointed out [She is totally against Steven Moffat and cannot move past Russell T Davies leaving] but overall it was brilliant and I can't wait to go home and watch it again as my sister watched it too and I told her to record it.
Then there's the Christmas Special of course which I feel very bitter sweet about because it means the end of my love 11 (Matt Smith) and on to 12 (Peter Capaldi)

So yeah that's that.
Oh and me and my friend decided that we would go and see the 100th Anniversary, so if that's not something to live for I don't know what is.

It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas

I blame commercialism..... and my future hunger

I bought my Christmas jumper last month and I keep bringing up stuff with my sister in conversation, like where we're going Christmas shopping and what food we need to buy and what she wants to eat and what movies we're going to watch and all that other malarkey.

It's funny because I never really cared at all about Christmas when I was younger and it was only when I got to about 17/18/19 that I really got into it and honestly it has nothing to with the presents, presents aren't even ever something that comes into the equation. It's really odd, but loving life and can't wait for the Francis Festive Fun to begin.

So I'm a little obsessed with countdowns...

I currently have four on my laptop

Countdown till I've finished my Insanity workout.
Countdown to New Year.
Countdown to my last day of Uni.
Countdown to Graduation.

An of course there's the mental countdowns
Back To London
Last day of Uni before Christmas
The day I head back to uni
Birthday... Although I only really remember when it gets to the 2nd of every month..... So basically today when I realised I was going to be 22 in 3 months.

I'm sure there's some deep psychological meaning behind this but I don't care about that for now, I'm just enjoying watching the time get smaller and smaller.

Korra Korra Korra

This season of The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra [Or something to that effect] is over, and I just wanted to say how much the main character annoys me. She's stubborn and ALWAYS wrong and messes things up and everyone just coddles her. She really pissed me off this season and I was always glad when episodes didn't have her in it.
Its weird because I loved the original series so much and I even really enjoyed the first season of Korra as it brought you back into the Avatar World. But I'm fed up with Korra and her bullshit and even the other characters just felt like a bit of a fail this season. So lets just hope they do better next season. Also from a feminist point of view I really don't understand what they're trying to teach kids about the type of person they should aspire to be. It's like Korra is a girl but they gave her a weird man type personality with dashes of femininity.

Light and Fluffy Viewing

I watch a lot of TV as I am sure you are more than aware by now, but what I don't see the problem in is light and fluffy viewing.
Have I ever brought up my love for My Little Pony? Well there's that. I have a soft spot for Barbie movies and so randomly stumbled upon this webisode series called Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse. Best. Thing Ever. Of course there's also Adventure Time.
It's nice to have happy go lucky cartoon nonsense to break up all the drama and gut wrenching emotions of all the normal shows. It's actually funny when you just mention it in conversation and people either give you funny looks or actually know what your talking about.

Taking a break from the soul sucking academic blog to give you a little update. So buckle up kids and prepare for the bombardment of posts.
